Finally! The results of the long-awaited field research. Jos Vink of the Deltares knowledge institute put different grades of Olivine in the soil a few years ago by means of field tests. And yesterday an article appeared in the NRC about the outcome of the investigation.
"Olivine delivers on its promise as a greenhouse gas carbon dioxide sequestrant", that is the telling title of the article. The article describes, among other things, that olivine weathers faster in the field than in the laboratory. This is how 8 micrometer weathered for 43% in two years! The discussion about the Olivine Nickel concentration will also finally come to an end, because everything remains below the permitted standards.
This is a huge step for us and for the global mission to permanently clean up the excess of CO2 worldwide.
