towards a climate-neutral world
Wherever greenSand Semi-hardening can be applied, carbon dioxide can be removed without additional technological inventions.
The rock is rich in olivine, which removes CO₂.
Removing carbon dioxide*, in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, is seen as necessary to achieve net zero.
*This is the only greenhouse gas that can be removed from the air so far
Quality and Assurance
greenSand Semi-hardening complies with the Dutch Soil Quality Decree as a non-shaped building material.
It has a high hook resistance and offers a very high stability.
This makes it wheelchair friendly.
Environmental benefits
greenSand Semi-hardening has a negative MKI score. This means that its use has a positive environmental impact. An extensive LCA was used for this. The environmental statement can be read on the website of the National Environmental Database.
Hardening
Climate change is not visible but the consequences are. The demand for water-permeable paving is increasing. Both for nature and for our infrastructure.
With the natural semi-hardening of greenSand you create beautiful grey-green and water-permeable paths. Ideal for nature reserves. But even more effective in urban areas.

Possible Applications

On the bike path
High hook resistance for a stable surface: suitable for both wheelchairs and bicycles.
This path was constructed by our partner De Beijer in Oosterhout.

On the walking path
100% natural paving, highly water-permeable and low-maintenance.
Example of the Galder Village Garden, constructed by Tuinidee on behalf of the municipality of Alphen-Chaam
In front of the car park
Parking with an eye to the future: that's progress while standing still.
Example: the parking lot at the De Limieten nursery in Huizen.
