How much do I need?
The amount of infill sand you need depends on the type of fiber and the length of the fiber. On average, the advice is 10 kg per square meter.
What about its effectiveness against weeds and algae?
Algae like an acidic soil. The infill sand from greenSand is made of olivine-containing rock that has a deacidifying property. Because the infill sand deacidifies the soil, you will encounter less algae in your artificial grass. This means you will have to maintain your artificial grass less often than when you use regular infill sand.
Isn't mining and transportation actually harmful to the environment?
The environmental impact is more than compensated by the unique property of capturing CO₂. Knowing that greenSand products are used as a substitution for other products, which by definition have an environmental impact, it is much more useful to permanently extract CO₂ from the atmosphere.
