greenSand is committed to reducing the CO₂ surplus by using olivine-rich rocks to remove CO₂.
Removing CO₂*, in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, is necessary to achieve net zero.
*This is the only greenhouse gas that can be removed from the air so far

greenSand Olivine-rich Siesplit is available in 3 different grades:
2-6 mm, 8-16 mm and 16-32 mm. The rock is grey/green in colour. It is smoked stone, so angular with a high hook resistance. You can create stable paths, playful decorative surfaces or use it as a base. Due to the deacidifying effect that can occur in the weathering process, the growth of algae and weeds is inhibited.

What grade do I need?
This mainly depends on your goal.
Below are some examples:
- Parking spot: 8-16mm/16-32mm
- Green roofs: 16-32 mm
- Garden paths: 2-6 mm/8-16 mm
- Garden terrace: 2-6 mm/8-16 mm
- Gravel case: all grades possible
- Decorative paving: all gradations possible
- Splash edge: all gradations possible
Tip: Animals do not like to walk on the 16-32 mm gradation. If you want to make your project animal-friendly, choose 2-6 mm or 8-16 mm.

What layer thickness do I need?
The layer thickness depends on the substrate. In general we recommend a layer thickness between 5-8 cm. You will have to lay thicker on a softer surface than on a harder surface. It is of course always possible to add some split a few years later.
