ONCRA CDR Certificate

ONCRA quantified and certified certificate that provides you with a valuable document tradable on the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).

An ONCRA CDR Certificate guarantees the capture of 1 tonne of CO₂ calculated over a hundred years.

This is the record for 3 generations : yourself, your children and your grandchildren.

Quantified

Permanent CO2 removal

ONCRA bases its quantification (the number of certificates to be issued) on models developed and tested by scientists. You can read all about it in the Rock Stored Carbon protocol .

Their calculations naturally take into account a Life Cycle Analysis , including CO2 emissions from the extraction of materials to their transport to and within the Netherlands.

With a conservative calculation and a "reserve pool" you make a valuable contribution to the fight against climate change.

Uithoorn line

Costs play a decisive role in CDR projects. It is essential that these projects are cost-effective to ensure broad support. and to achieve acceptance.

To ensure competitiveness and financial viability of projects, greenSand is offered at a significant discount in exchange for the CO₂ rights resulting from the project.

ONCRA Certified Projects

Uithoorn Line - CDR 265 tons/100 years

greenSand semi-hard surfacing on the inspection paths of the extended Uithoorn line captures CO2 through the natural weathering of the olivine in the rock. The realization of this project aims to generate broad support for the implementation of our effective climate solution.

Arnhem Depot - CDR 956 tons/100 years

With an eye to the future, NS has opted for sustainable solutions, including the construction of inspection paths using greenSand Olivine Semi-Pavement. This was made possible thanks to the efforts of our partner Vossloh ETS, who, through the exchange of CO2 emission rights, convinced NS to choose our semi-pavement.
