Glorious Glacier Ride - cycling with a climate mission
Cycling tour through the Alps
This 1,600 km bike tour from Munich to Monaco raised awareness of the melting ice on glaciers. Less ice means less water for human use, as glaciers are our natural water reservoirs. To keep our planet livable, we must protect our glaciers and stop climate change.
Witness ice loss with your own eyes
The bike tour took us past Europe's largest glaciers, which are still breathtakingly beautiful, but have lost 40% of their volume over the past 25 years. Old postcards show that they used to be much larger. You could support this positive climate action by purchasing these postcards, which were sent by the participants with a personal message.
Clean up CO₂ with your donation
One of the participants in the platoon, Pepijn Duijvestein, director of New Economy, had set a goal of raising €6,000 to clean up CO₂ with natural carbon solutions, including greenSand's Uithoornlijn project, which was recently audited and registered through Oncra. This goal has not yet been reached, but you can still donate via the link below.
