Sustainable camping trails
On April 18, 2021, greenSand was present at the official opening of the greenSand Olivine Path at Camping Buitenland, located near Emmen.
This picturesque campsite is known for its focus on sustainability.
Along with the tunes of a local music band, we had the chance to enjoy the view of the CO2 guzzling path with olivine rich pebbles.
Sustainable vision
Camping Buitenland was founded by five friends who shared both a strong business acumen and a desire to create something sustainable. This sustainable campsite, surrounded by a beautiful forest and natural swimming lake, was born in 2017.
Buitenland is in possession of the Green Key Gold, a sustainability label for companies and prefers to work with organizations that have the same mindset.
The Camper Homie
The greenSand Olivine was donated to Camping Buitenland by CamperHomie , a platform that treats free camping in a modern, fresh and ecological way. Their mission is to make camping greener by removing CO2 as a method of doing so. The CamperHomie community offset their CO2 travel budget and therefore offset 2.4 tons/2400 kg of CO2. B
