For two of our products, an extensive life cycle analysis (LCA) has been made according to the EN 15804 + A2 standard. In an LCA, the environmental impacts of products and services are made clear throughout their entire life cycle. For the greenSand products, the following were taken into account:
- Process of mining
- Crushing process
- Transport from the mine in Spain to Holland
- Delivery to the customer in Holland
- Applying the material
- Usage
- Possibility of reuse
Positive environmental impact
The LCA of greenSand shows that our products have a positive effect on the climate. This is because carbon emission total is negative. Because greenSand removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The so-called GWP (Global Warming Potential) is therefore negative.Do your bit
