The N470 is the first road to be renovated in a CO2-negative way over its entire length of 17 kilometres. The aim is to achieve 50% energy savings with these innovations and to reduce CO2 emissions within the project by 10 tons of CO2 per year. #olivine is applied in the roadside; a mineral that absorbs CO2. The Honey Highway will contribute to the bee population with a flower mixture of 44 different seeds. Special plants will capture the particulate matter from car tires and exhaust fumes.
