Carbon Fix - greenSand Olivin for artificial grass sports fields
The Anteagroup has installed the new sports fields in Teteringen in a CO2 neutral way with Carbon Fix. Carbon Fix is a layer of crushed stone from greenSand olivine. It replaces the usual sports-technical lava foundation in the substructure of the field. It reacts to CO2 and ensures that the CO2 is permanently fixed in insoluble compounds. One ton of Carbon Fix can capture ± one ton of CO2. This construction has been approved as a substructure material for artificial turf pitches by NOC*NSF. See also the AnteaSport website: Carbon Fix
